As your Doula, I will work by your side as you prepare to give birth; present in each moment with a spirit of love and compassion. I’ll provide the emotional, educational and physical support you need not only during labor, but throughout your pregnancy and postpartum as well.
Informative and Compassionate:
After our initial meet and greet I will meet with you and your partner twice before your birth. At these meetings we will get to know each other, discuss your birth plan and what your goals are for your birth, and answer any questions you or your partner may have. I am also available to you throughout your pregnancy by text, phone or email to answer any questions and receive updates.
At your Side:
I will provide unwavering support and compassion to you and your family before during and after birth. When you are ready for me to join you I will be at your side for emotional and physical support throughout your labor and delivery.
I will remain at your side after birth until you are ready for some quiet alone bonding time with your baby. I can assist with skin to skin time and breastfeeding or bottle feeding. I am also available to answer questions and offer resources. After you are settled at home I will come visit and we can review your birth and answer any questions.
I am a CPST (Child Passenger Safety Technician) certified through Child Passenger Association of Canada. I can teach you how to install and use your child's car seat. safterseats.ca
I am offering my services online! We can have our prenatal meetings by video chat and I can answer your questions and we can get to know each other. While you are in labour I am available 24 hours a day to be with you via video chat and phone. I can give you suggestions and help your partner to support you while you labour.
Hello my name is Christine Babuik and I am a DONA International trained Doula serving the Mission BC and surrounding areas.
A little about me: I am a mother of 2 wonderful children, 11 years old and 6 years old. I have lived in Mission BC all my life and love my community.
My interest in becoming a Doula started 11 years ago when I was lucky enough to be present at the birth of my nephew and again was asked to join my sister in-law and family at the birth of their second child 6 years ago. That is when I fell in love with the amazing wonder of birth. Over the years my passion for pregnancy and birth has grown and when my family was ready I stated this journey of sharing my love and compassion with birthing mothers and their families.
